LATEST MUSICAL OBSESSION

I really love this girl, I was on an airplane about two years ago and I plugged my little head phones in and was surfing the some odd 10 music channels you can listen to on Southwest and I ran across this gal. Her name is Missy Higgins, I had never heard of her before but she really caught my ear! She has such a great style, I love playing her stuff. I remeber, as soon as I got home from the airport I looked her up online and listen to the song I became obsessed with over the two hour flight!

I love her style! So so chill, a few of the concerts I watched on youtube, she was just wearing nice jeans and a tank top, something about that screams awesome to me! Who can pull that off?? Only Missy! I've more recently been really into her music, when I lived at home I didn't listen to it as much becasue it drove my family CRAZY! Ya see, she's got this awesome thick astraillian accent that I attempt to imitate when I sing along, . . . . I sing loudly . . . sometimes I can understand why my family gets annoyed :)

Another thing, she plays all her own stuff, she's an amazing pianist and an even better guitarist, I'm slightly jealous. The past month I've learned four of her songs on guitar, its been a blast, oh and i still sing it in the accent, now I'm almost convincing!

And gosh just look at her, she's inspiring! She's young, beautiful, talented, original, not slutty, thats so rare now! All of her music is really meaningful, none of it is "just catchy" or only has a good melody or just a good instrumental break, every song has the full package. I love it. I hope I can be as good as a musician as her some day! Oh and we have a few similarities, first, same musical style, acoustic all the way, none of this crazy electric stuff, and I think we can both appreciate a good drum accent in a song, i love that in every song of hers. And my favorite, check it out, every picture, BARE FEET! Thats what i'm talking about, I'm all about prefoming bare foot, its really psyhological. If your barefoot, your comforitable, if your audience see's that, they're comforitable with your music, with your message, the connection there is twice as strong. Plus, bare feet match with every outfit! I love you Missy! Eww, i just became one of those creep die-hard fans . . . . sorry.
