HERE WE ARE!
Chad and I LOVE BYU! Its been such a wonderful experience for us both and its ony been a week and ahalf. At first the campus was so confusing and a little too big for my liking, going from CGCC where from one end of the campus to the other is about a 7 minute walk and now its a bout 15 to 20 between each class! And with the thin air up here we were pretty winded as we barely ran into the classroom on time. We're still getting used to that, and the parking . . . there is hardly any! ever! But we always end up finding at least one spot just before class.

I LOVE my teachers, they are all so amazing! My guitar teacher, Bro. Kimball, is SO out of this world! He has done just about anything you can think of! He has a degree in just about everything too! Hes pretty old and sometimes he forget if he has already said something but it make for good laughs. He helped invent the laptop and has about 13 different patents. Hes a cowboy too, he has deer and horses and a ranch. but my favorite thing about him is his guitar method program! He invented a new way to read guitar music and its OUTSTANDING, he has written 4 books and is just thye funniest guy youll ever meet! My family 100 class is probably my favorite! Its so interesting and the reading actually excites me! I told Chad, i have never been so excited to do homework! that class reallt helps my testimony. The teacher Bro. Williams is really insightsful and totally leads his class though the spirit and has a bunch of research to back it up for us! i love it! He makes me want to change my major to family and marriage thearapy. At firt i HATED the website! It was so confusing and they have a new program to replace blackboard called brainhoney . . . weird name but it works pretty well and as soon as chad and i get wireless in the apartment, it will be really helpful! All my classes use it, even my volleyball coaching class, which by the way is outstanding! I love learning and to get credit to play volleyball and become a better teacher is so awesome! My hymns and sacred songs class is surprisingly not my favorite! at BYU they inforce what is called the learning model which is a guide for how we should learn and teach our peers, spiritually and intellectually and thats the only class that i feel really lacks the depth and participation that I want but i still love the literature we cover and being able to sing these song and learn thier orgins and significance to the church.

I love the Rexburg Temple! Its so beautiful!!! and i think its kinda weird that snow covers everything in rexburg but the temple never has snow on it. weird. but its so beautiful and its kinda cool how all day there is no sun, just snow andclouds but when the day is over, the sun comes out to give you this amazing sun set! Its seriously looks this beautiful everyday!!
BYU . . . we approve

  1. Kayla- I'm so glad you love BYU-I! I have a few family members (from my married side) up there and they always tell me how much they love it! I think they are crazy because I can't do snow and cold... but props to you and Chad for facing the cold! :) I love your blog and just want you to know, I'll be blog stalking you! :) Love you and miss you!
