Welcome to The Merrells!

OK so my mom wanted me to send pictures but that means that i would have to clean my house and unpack and get things looking presentable . . SO the last 2 hours thats exactly what ive done! We are now officially MOVED IN! every box is unpacked and everything in its place! DISCLAIMER: This does not mean that it looks good, while veiwing this post keep in mind we left behind a 3rd of all of our things, including furniture and frames and whatnot. i promise in a few months it wont look this crappy!

Wecome! this is the first thing you see when you walk into apartment number13-201... the thermistate and a tastful 90's light fixture in the hall :) No, we actually LOVE our entry way, the hall isnt narrow at all and the area around the front door is tile so that the carpet doesnt get wet with all the snowy shoes!

Along with that awesome entry way is a coat closet, with tiles floors, i never knew how much i would love this! Its got so much space for everything, shoes, boots, snowgear, backpacks, boardgames, boxes... oh and coats.

Moving on, the front room is . . . funny. who ever designed this place was either a horrible designer or intoxicated because everything is placed so weird and awkward. we did the best we could to make the furniture look right but its definatly going to be a work and progress with this room. DISCLAIMER: we are getting a coffee and a side table and lamp and get rid of the painfully awkward ikea side table and thats going to make everything look 100X better.

Our kitchen! dishwashers are heavenly! It was our first time using one for 8 months yesterday and it was amazing! we love being in a house that is just a decade or 2 behind the times instead of a 1/2 a century behind like our last house with the oldfasioned phone shelf. all the cupboards have so much room and all the appliances are new. we love it :) Notice the awkward plastic black hook over the garbage can . . . fire extinguisher holder??? bad designer, bad.

This picture is the rest of our kitchen . . . tableless!!!! we need a table so if your in idaho and your trying to get rid of one, let us know!

Mom, Family, this is the den, this is where visitors like YOU are going to stay, so right now its a little study room, its where chad and i go to study and play guitar but were going to make it awesome when we get rich and stuff. but fo right now its hold dtuff like the picture we couldnt hang up and the boxes that wont brake down, Jesus and James Dean are roomies for the time being.

This is our big and unnessicary balcony. I think we'll really like it in the summer but right now chad just like to throw oranges off of it and go down and look for them in the snow later . . my little retriever ;) it also has a huge storage closet to the side that hold SO much! we are keeping our broken down boxes in thier for now.

Ok so this is just the hall but i wanted to show you what i ment by "horrible design". this wall has a fire alarm, smoke detestor AND sprinkler, spaced out just enough that it draws negative attention to it and eliminates almost any possibility to use that wall space! I thought it we pretty humorous!

POur bathroom is kinda cool! What i love about our apartment complex is, they fit as much as humanly possible into our small units for our convinience. when you walk in our your right there are doors to the washer and dryer and on the left there are doors to a HUGE bathroom closet for towels and everything else you can think of! And they close away when company is over and the bathroom looks more spacious because of it :)

and just past the bathroom is our bed room. im sorry i know there is alot of invasive pictures of storage here but honestly, GO mormon comunitty!! I love all the space! Our closet is Sooooo big and its perfect for chad and I.

AND OUR BEDROOM IS PERFECT! Its got so much space( about twice as much as our last room) and the windows are at a good spot and i cant wait to decorate and make it feel more like home!

Oh and this is our club house! its got everything we need, a lounge, a computer room, and theater, and workout room and gameroom and daycare and a kitchen ( full of awesome food that we have been eating the last 6 days) its so nice and we're not too far from it which is good because we already have a huge amount of homework and no internet in the apartment yet so its nice to be able to hang out there!

  1. SO fun!! It totally reminds me of our apartments when we lived in Minnasota! If I wasnt all fat and preggo, I would totally come up and help you decorate. In the summer, I'll be all up in that den, kickin' it with James and Jesus. :) Glad you like your place, miss you!

Wow, that is a great place - so much room! You are doing a great job decorating and yours closets look awesome. So, do we need to bring our own bed when we come to see you :)??? I'll be bringing a house warming gift, so decide what I can get for you (rug, curtains, gc to goodwill???)
