Our 1st Valentines Day

I had it all planned out. I would surprise him over and over, all through out the day. He wouldn't even know what hit him. I realized, unfortunately, that I am a horrible surprise. I started the morning bright and early, I planned to deice his car windows for him and put fun things all over the car as well as hiding surprises for him to find later through out the day. so i went out side and. . . .no ice . . . how am I supposed to deice the car if there is no ICE! In stead I hide a CD I made for him a a Dr. Pepper so that on his way home from work, I could text him and tell him to look in his glove box and he'll have a drink for the drive and some of our favorite love songs to listen to. That part went well but his morning was less than eventful. We went to school together and I planned to go to his second class and decorate it just for him . . . for the embarrassment factor... and as luck would have it, he showed up early and ruined the plans! But I got to give hi a bag of his favorite candy to munch on in Art (peanut M&Ms). I had to hurry home at this point if I wanted to get the next suprise ready, I ran to the store and got all the food for the evening and 50 tealight candles. I walked in the door and put it all away just in time because Chad came up right after. I then had to go to Volleyball that seemed like a 5 hour class because i was so anxious to get home and plan the next suprise! When I got home I was greeted with an adorable array of gifts and mushy heart day decor engulfing our bedroom, it was SO sweet an it took everything in me not to open the gift he left on the bed for me, but I wanted us to open them together so I hide it from myself. By the way, yes, that is tinsel all over the floor...oh joy.

After class, I got home and whipped up a dozen cup cakes for chad and the boys at work, they were deeeelish! and he was so surprised that I drove all the way to I.F. to deliver cupcakes. I ran back home just in time to move the bed to the front room, decorate the porch, whip up dinner, dip the strawberries, wrap his present, and shower off from volleyball. I was cutting it close but everything came together. I sent chad on an errand to buy me some more time and by the time he got home, the whole house was romanticized! We had our favorite dinner, Inovasian food and for dessert, chocolate covered strawberries. then we exchanged gifts and both of us were pleasantly surprised! I got chad a Joseph Smith Ring, he had been wanting one for a while but we could never find a reason to spend that much money on a ring. An I also got him a keychain for his oil and more oil, his broke when we were dating and I had been meaning to get him a new one, I picked out a really cool one and typed up the blessing so that he could get it in there and on his key chain that night. I LOVED IT! I was SO relieved. He got ME a sexy pair of red high heels and some cute silver jewelry that I had eyeballed a few weeks earlier. We did pretty good for our first valentines day, we defiantly have alot of learning to do but we did well!!!

The whole night was totally romantic and I was nice to be able to have night to ourselves! I LOVE YOU CHAD!
