Easter Cake
Chad and I love cake, well actually I love baking and Chad loves eating, it works well. We dont have any money, like, any, so we didnt do the whole easter egg basket candy thing. I think I should feel bad about not doing some cutsey wife thing but surprisingly enough ... I dont. We have ad such a busy week, I just am glad we made it to sunday! Happy Easter though, we had a great day, I got set apart in my new calling, 2nd councilor of the Primary presidency, (which in our student ward is more commonly considered to be the nursery presidency! I love those little kiddos and am excited to get to know my awesome presidency. Chad was sad that he and I wont be teaching Family History together anymore and I am TOO! I loved that calling and I loved teaching with Chad even more! we had a great easter program at church and visiting teaching was SO enjoyable. It was pretty normal, i felt bad that we didnt do anything really special so I decided to whip out the funfetti, we decided to make a double layer cake together and then Chad had the brilliant idea of making it an ice cream cake! We had a great time putting it together and i realized that I now have a a new cake to get good at making, It was....less than desirable. But it was eastery and cute so that was a pretty awesome first easter! I promise I'll be better when i have kids!
Anyways, its monday now and I just talk to my sweet motha who told me that the birthday package that she sent we (that I had been saving to open til tomorrow) was for easter too! dang it! that would have filled the gap of lameness in yesterdays poor couple easter! SO that made a perfect Family night activity! Tonights FHE:Budgeting Continued/planning for AZ/Opening easter package
