SO Sammy's is one of my favorite places EVER in Rexburg! Its such a fun atmosphere!For those of you who don't know, its a really authentic burger joint, everything is made in front of you and they are famous for their pie shakes. This is so cool, I asked for a coconut cream pie shake and they pull our an actual coconut cream pie and take a slice out of it and dump it in to a cup with this smooth custard and blend it! Its so awesome!!!! And my favorite thing about this place is that on every Tuesday night they have open mic night, anyone can come and play, they have all the equipment, lighting, stage, and everything, and you can come and do whatever. The audience sits in old school desks and comfy couches, its such a cool environment! Totally My Style! Everything there, not just the food, is very handmade. The signs, the decor, everything! I LOVE IT! SO honestly, Sammy's is my home away from home! This last Tuesday I thought I would do open mic night. I Did a Missy Higgins Song first, it had been so long since I preformed in public, my knee was bouncing uncontrollably! I almost couldn't play the guitar! But it was so fun, I think I'll do it every week, it'll push me to learn new songs. I did something kinda special last week though! I was a little sneaky and I learned an amazing love song for Chad and had Preston learn it on the piano. Chad had no idea but I got up on stage to close the mic night with this song and Chad shouted after me and asked why I forgot my guitar, I then realized that I wasn't going to us it :) I told the audience that we had almost been married a year and a week ago I heard this song on the radio and it reminded me of him! He was TOTALLY shocked! And cute Chad, completely embarrassed. The song went great and Chad was on Cloud 9 All night, I was there too! Cant wait til next week!
