My WiSh LiSt

Christmas is such a stupid excuse to remember all those things that you dont have. Honestly I dont know about you guys but I never get paid an extra 300-500 dollars in December because its Christmas . . . Christmas bonus . . . OK, so SOME people do, but not this girl and all christmas list are to me are a yearly inventory of the things I went through one more year without. No that sounds depressing (and it kinda is) but I just wish Christmas was more Christ centered so We all didnt stress so much about "gifts" and money, thats definatley not what I want to do with my break. However, there is something kinda sentimental about Christmas lists. Writing christmas list has always been a fun part of the season with my family. I wish so badly that i had saved some of my list and not sent them to Santa, he never sent them back! Except one year. I remember I was in 6th grade and I asked Santa for a Saxophone, he politely mailed me a letter informing me that although he knew i had been a good girl and really wanted a Saxophone, it wasnt somehting I would get that year...awkwardly enough, a few days later my universe was shattered when a boy in my sundays school class slipped that his mom was santa...i cried all the way home and lets just say that Sundays dinner conversation was less than pleasant. Any who, lets just say ever since then I have lived vicariously through my younger siblings who put so much detail and thoughts into their letters. I was reminiscing with my mom on the phone the other day about how we would wait anxiously for that MASSIVE magazine so that we could shotgun our turn to sit down for an hour or so and carefully circle and initial all the toys we wanted! Good times when the highest price of my biggest Christmas toy was $35.00. Good times.

I know i sounded a little cynical at the begining of the post but i LOVE thinking that if i write this list of all the things I need, some magical force will place them beneath my tree and my bank account will appear the same as it had before the tree was surrounded by awesomeness.

Here...... is my list

• A few different types of really pretty lace material , just a few yards of each so I can start on a few of my projects!
• A new curling iron! One thats not huge so it will actually curl my hair.
• Hair cut and color because dang, its been WAY to long since I've had my head massaged and my roots looking fly
  
• Sheer gray material for my bedroom canopy idea. It going to be so beautiful and the material is cheap ... but so am I.
  
• A GOOD MIX! I am SO out of the music world and i miss it so much! I just want a cd mix er two to get me back in the music world!
• GOOD makeup, i have been buying the cheapest makeup since I got married (no, not because i was married but because i was suddenly broke) and I really would like to get makeup that doesn't ruin my skin.
• Jewelry, I wanna be girly i swear! Jewelery has always just seemed like such an empty investment... until now! I wanna be cute!
• Jackets, scarfs, boots, gloves, earmuffs...ANYTHING WARM i need more of em!

I think that's it..an oil change would be nice but yes, Santa this is my list for 2011, yeah that means i'm 21 and still referring to the gift givers in my life as santas. there are more issues here huh. let a girl dream :)
