SO i have been a BIG "Baby Mama" fan ever since it came out! Come on, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey?! If only they could really make a baby together, it would be the cutest funniest baby ever! I think I like the movie so much because I imagine I would say the same things Amy Poehler says through out this whole movie. However, now that I am 'with child' I must say, I've come to some difficult realizations....like how not everything in this movie is exactly how real pregnancy is. (I should have known it was too funny to be true)
For Example:
Prenatals are not the size of a small country. I'm grateful this part was wrong (but i'm so glad they over exaggerated, that scene is hilarious.) "There is a thing called being too healthy...that's what killed Bruce Lee"
Prenatal classes are not that informative...kinda boring and kinda awkward. So yeah, I guess the movie was accurate on this one.
Being in Rexburg, sometimes I feel a little like Amy on this one...OOoooo OOOOOoooo! I know I got all excited about hypno-birthing and all natural remedies but when it comes down to it, i want the baby out as soon as possible and with the least amount of pain and permanent damage so bring on the epidural!
False! This clip threw me for a loop! I thought I would be the worst mother ever if I dyed my hair during my pregnancy. Sadly, this clip is just funny, not factual.
I'm still learning a lot but I think I'll stop letting Hollywood be my educator and just enjoy these hilarious scenes. Happy Sunday!
