Dear Little Liam,
Thinking about you a lot this week. I started to feel you move more prominently the past few days and it's been amazing. I'd like to think that I could talk to you, ask you if you're comfortable, ask you what foods taste best when converted into amniotic fluid (as you're drinking 2-3 ounces of it a day, go you!), or see if you side with Mom or Dad on your nursery colors (you'll love the nautical theme, totally "you"). I know you can't understand a word I say but I love talking to you. Dad likes to talk to you in weird voices so if you don't recognize his voie for a while after you're born, I would understand. Dad also thinks you're giving me a hard time with all this heart burn but I know your quarters aren't ideal so I completely understand if you need to sit on a vital organ or two, I'll adjust. William, Liam, Will, Bill, Billyjobob, Willamina, Will.I.Am, what ever you prefer, your name is William. Dad and I love the name so much, we love where it came from and we love YOU so it just kind of make sense. Grandpa Guttery is excited for a little mini him and I think you guys will get along so well! (If me and dad don't give you something, spoiler alert, grandparents will!).
Dad and I found some darling clothes for you the other day, Dad may be more excited about dressing you up than I am! Don't worry, I won't let him embarrass you...that's my job. The other day we were driving and dad told me he was a little scared. He can't believe you're already 1/2 way done baking and he's going to be a dad soon. I told him he would be amazing but if you wouldn't mind kicking a little harder so he can feel you, I think it would mean a lot to him and put him at ease (if you're not to busy developing your digestive system this week).
William, I love you so much! I can't even explain it! I can't imagine how much more I will love you when I get to hold you and feel you sweet fresh spirit. I'm not sure how it works but if your spirit is still in heaven, go visit your great great grandmas and grandpas, I miss them and they'd love to see you. You're coming into a strong family, thank Heavenly Father now (and every day you're here on earth). Remember how happy you are, how beautiful and clear everything is where you are because when you come here, some will try to make you forget and make you think it's not worth the hassle but I promise, we will all work hard as a family to bring you back home to your Father in heaven, there is nothing better.
We'll have fun here too though! Dad loves golfing, fishing and of course...baseball! If you're anything like him, you'll love that too! But don't worry, that's a ways off, to start we'll just work on walking and smiling. You've already got some great cousins to play with and they are all very excited to meet you! Now I know already you have teasing blood in your darling little body so we'll work on that, (thank your dad for that). But you also have a funny bone or two so I know you'll always keep things interesting!
I should really let you go, you've got a lot of growing to do but remember, I love you! If you ever need anything, you just let me know with a swift kick, fatigue or nausea ok? I'm always here for you!
Love,
Mom
