Happy 1/2 Birthday!

   Happy Half Birthday Little Man!

 Liams 6 months! What the heck, when did that happen! I cant believe how quickly its flown by. I've been thinking a lot lately on the first week we brought him home. How scared I was, how inadequate I thought I was as a mother and how much pain I was in. I remember thinking, "It can only get better, right?!" I lived on that phrase the whole first month, that and the sweet side smiles and wide eyes of my precious new baby. Now 6 months later, it's all such a small memory, completely clouded over by the memories of his first laugh and the first time he rolled over. I'm just so proud of us, our family has grown so much, gone through some ups and downs but Liams alive and healthy and the happiest baby I know!
   Chad and I feel so humbled and blessed to have little Liam with us. We realize how blessed we are and I still just can't believe how much he's taught us..he doesn't even know how much closer he's made our family and how loved he is. Actually, I think he does. The other day Chad was cuddling with him on the couch, they were both in a sleepy mood and Liam was kind just staring at chads chest and drifting off. I came over and squeezed on the couch making a Liam sandwich and he looked up at Chads face then over to mine, then he smiled the sweetest little "This is where I belong" smile and fell asleep. Chad and I both about died from the cuteness.
 
This months Merrell Milestones are...
-1st teeth broke through on 7/5/2014! He now has those two adorable bottom teeth slowly growing taller and taller

-He now eats rice cereal on the daily
-He sits up! he's still learning to balance so he's fall over from time to time.
-He's up on all fours but no movement yet, just rocking and spinning in circles
-1st 4th of July! (I'm hoping he'll love the holiday as much as I do someday)

Other fun facts about our 6 month old
-He still loves his walks and water is still his favorite toy
-He went into a cave, he watched fireworks and LOVED them both! (All while breaking his first teeth, what a champ)

-He got a new cousin! Amelia June Fish was born and we skype her all the time!

-His best friend was born! Leland Porter Thompson...at least we are telling him that they're best friends... no pictures yet, I don't dare pry that baby from the hands of his grandmas but in a week or so I'll get a snap shot of these two!
-Liam is a talker, he is always saying dadadadada...I'm growing used to the idea of Dada being his first word. I would blame him, dads the fun one :)
-He loves when we sing together, its the highlight of my life (that's not cheesy, I'm so serious)
- He's still in size 2 diapers and fits in 3-6 month clothes, right on track!
-His hair is thin golden and curly just like his mommys was! I admit I've put some product in it to try and emphasis the curl but nothings really worked, its a little wild
