9 Months Old

     9 months old! He's been out as long as he was in...give or take 5 days.
Liam's a crazy boy. He screams, crawls, gets into everything, eats everything and is more ticklish than Chad and I put together. He's got an awesome laugh that we are always trying to wiggle out of him and his comedic timing is spot on!
   The other day, Chad took Liam up on campus with him to the Kimble building to discuss some stuff with an addmissions leader. The lady looked down at Liam and said "well aren't you the cutest thing?!" Liam starred at her for about 3 seconds and them blew a huge raspberry. Everyone died laughing. I guess you had to be there but Chad said it was the funniest thing.
   Liam and I are really connecting lately. I feel like we're really best friends. He loves hanging out with me, even if it's just being in the same room. He struggles with nap time a little. I feel like he is growing to fast for his own good! We just got used to the two naps a day and now I feel like he would do much better with just one long nap in the afternoon, but we're figuring things out together.

Merrell Milestones and Favorite moments:
-Taking him to a corn maze....he's afraid to touch straw aparrently..good thing it wasnt a haunted maze, thats just adding insult to injury.
-Riding on dads shoulders, its literally his favorite place to be!
-First time to the beach! He LOVED the waves so much. He was incredibly fearless and never wanted to quit, at one point he was dozing off between giggles as the waves hit him. He ate a lot of sand and I'm proud to say he didn't get burnt at all! He must have his dads skin.

-1st theme park! Liam loved the rides at Knotts Berry farm! I was surprised how many rides he could go on and he was a very good people watched while mom and dad went on the bigger rides.
-Ate an avocado...and hated it! Its the first food he has ever really rejected, but we'll keep trying, we are an avocado family so he might have to acquire a taste for it here pretty quick.
-He's got a new car seat! Its weird the stuff you get excited about as a mom...
-He got his first black eye...It still makes me sad thinking about it. He was bouncing on my lap and he swung around to look at what I was sewing and hit his eye on the sewing table. I felt horrible...for days.
-First time to a college softball game! The first of many I'm sure!

-Liams recognizing music. He knows certain songs and will bounce along to the ones he likes! I hope we get some dancing out of him soon. He loves all the children song book songs (mainly because those are the only ones i know.. i should really brush up on my kids song. He will be crying in the car and Chad and I will sing "I like to look for Rainbows" and ....Silence. He just looks at us, smiles and listens until the end...then he starts crying again. There was one trip home from Idaho falls were I think Chad and I sang every song in the childrens song book. 30 minutes straight.

Liams first Halloween is coming up and we're so excited! We'll leave his costume a surprise but we are working on it every day! So excited to see him explore this new holiday. I know everyone in Rexburg hates me for saying this but I just can't wait for it to snow! I wanna take Liam out in it so bad and show him the main street lights and snuggle with him on the Idaho Falls carriage rides. I just love winter. We have been going on daily nature walks, i call them, to find new beautiful fall leafs for a project I'm doing. Liam loves it. I could just set him out there and as long as he had a few leafs around, he'd be entertained for hours!

Liams a blast! Can't believe he has been out as long as he was in! Its unreal how fast this first year is flying by.
