When 22 days feels like a year

SO on January 6th 2015, my little family jumped on the "Whole 30" bandwagon. I hate even typing that, but its true. When Whole 30 first came out, I thought it was so stupid. I thought it was like every other cleanse, it deprives you of entire food groups for extended periods of time, makes you irritable and emotional, makes you loose weight rapidly only to gain it all back at the end of the "cleanse"because you start sleeping with butterfingers in both fists because your relationship with foods has been completely compromised and you fear never having what you enjoy again.

I was wrong...not about cleanses, but about Whole 30.

Whole thirty really IS about cleansing and  getting back to the basics, and its only 30 days. I'm not a complete convert and I don't claim to be, I haven't read the books or followed all the star whole 30ers but I've followed the rules and stuck with it for what feels like a year but is really only 22 days now. And I have to admit, I feel CLEANSED! I feel better, I have a much healthier relationship with sugar and wheat and I have a whole new outlook on food! All that in 22 days! I haven't weighed myself since I started (they advise you only weigh at the beginning and end) but I know I've lost some weight but I've learned why all the twiggy, skinny fit girls do this, its not about loosing weight, its about eating clean and getting to know your body better.

Chad and I have SO much weight to loose but this has been an incredible start. We have a very long term plan. It involved multiple rounds of whole thirty, split up by a few weeks of carefully incoorperated sugars and grains. I'm no expert but thats my plan and I'm stickin to it!
