Happy Heart Day

Valentines day is always a big deal for us. I mean, we make a big deal out of every holiday, but we especially make a big deal out of Valentines day. This year was no different, except we shared it with our best friends, the Thompsons. Chelsea and I started off our morning with the Heart day 5K up on campus. We've been training for a 1/2 marathon together so we thought the 5K would be no big deal. We were wrong. in short, we'll be incorperating more incline into our training from now on. It was a fun race though and we burned off the chocolate we'd be inevitably eating later that night.
When we got home we showered and got ready to take the boys to the batting cages. Both our men are big baseball players so we thought they'd enjoy a little trip down memory lane and a chance to show off their skills to us. We tried a little too.

The boys were total troopers...or at least Porter was, I spent most of my time chasing Liam away from the batting cages and stopping him from eating the tire bits off the indoor football field.

Trents first few hits were good, but then he went into beast mode. He made himself and Chelsea "Beauty and the Beast" tees. Totally cracked me up!

Chad transformed into a different person.
but seriously

Look at that little league pose. Chads such a crack up all the time but he's especially funny when he's in his comfort zone, and that's definitely with a bat in his hand.

Look how cute these two are! Chelsea is such an awesome mama.

Here's Liam photobombing like a boss

We all had a really good time at the cages. Then we raced home and got ready for dinner at Garcias and the Valentines Dance. I love dressing up and feeling pretty on dates...which should probably tell you about how often I get dressed in more than workout pants and a sweatshirt. Its a treat for everyone when i get dressed like an adult.
The dance was awesome, they had free babysitting, which was our main reason for attending but after about 30 minutes, we got a call fro the nursery saying some kid name Liam was crying and needed to be picked up by his parents....short lived, but free babysitting is free babysitting. Liam just wanted to party with us. He loved all the lights and music and wouldn't stop bouncing.

Dad took him for a little dance and spun him around until his little tummy hurt from laughing.

Then mom tried it...

He didn't seem to like it as much

Trent and Chelsea hardly left the dance floor!

Porter had some seriously amazing moves

Cutest family ever
Just as a side note, Chad is a surprisingly amazing dancer..next time you see him, ask him to bust a move. He can deny it all day long but he's amazing.
There was a little "photobooth" there so we took advantage of that at the end of the night.  We took,"Traditional Dance" photos, kissy photos and a few that I wont post because they'll probably make Chelsea and I blush, but it was so fun and I'm so glad we went!

Chad and I exchanged little gifts, I got him a AZ Dimond backs hat, he's been wanting one for a long time and he gave me a flight to spend a week in AZ with my family....one of these gifts are not like the other. Chad went all out! I had no idea. I cried when he gave it to me. He had been giving plasma for a few months to buy it off his plasma card without me knowing , and my favorite part of the gift, it didn't come out of our bank account! He gets me!
My sweetheart makes everything special, I'm so grateful to have two valentines this year, I feel spoiled by the love they constantly show and how hard Chad works at our marriage. I'm a lucky, loved girl.
