Its still cold here, and around this time of year, I remember just how warm and cozy it is in AZ. I have this dysfunctional belief that if I wear shorts and flip flops or if I take my son to the park, the weather will adapt to my needs. It never does, but i keep trying. This time, I roped the Thompsons into it (sorry guys) it was in the 30s, not counting the killer windchill but we made the best of it. Liam just loves being outside so he didn't mind the wind or weather at all, i just had to keep him bundled up because if it were up to him, he'd run around naked everywhere we go, winter weather and all.
These boys are best friends (by their parents force right now) but i love seeing them together and watching them grow. They've recently started laughing at the same things and it's my favorite thing to watch.
Liam LOVED the slide! It only took, me showing him how once until I would set him at the top and get to the bottom just in time to catch him. He would push off the top and fly down the slide with a huge smile, no fear at all. He must get that from his dad.
^this picture is right before his shoe got stuck on the slide and he flipped forward and ended up riding on his belly. I was expecting him to cry at the bottom, just because it looked a little uncomfortable be he acted as though that was his intention all along.
I love this little man! I feel like he is always in the mood to play (even when he's having a rough day) He make my days brighter and more optimistic. He reminds me that men are that they might have joy. I'm not just rising this little boy, I'm loving doing it and making sure he see's the beauty in this life. That's the goal anyway.
