Pat his cheeks and give him, what??

Because two fathers day posts are just enough!

Our cars are horrible, moving down to the land of the sun just about killed our vehicles and we haven't had the money to get them both taken care of, so yesterday, Chad spent the WHOLE day under my car trying to you tube and "internet" all the possible problems to fix. Not only did he find the very complex problem (A broken boot on the CV axle on the front driver side wheel well) but he found the part for 1/2 it's normal price, ordered it, picked it up two hours later and replaced it himself. It was no picnic. He had to use a huge air compressor, and FIRE (yes, at one point my car was on fire in order to heat a rusted couplet) and some impressive strength. He even set up a "garage" (a blue canopy that made our house look even more ghetto). But after hours of working and sweating in the 112 degree weather, my car is ready for our flagstaff trip this week. Not only that but he took one of my dads old lawn mowers while he was waiting for the part to come in and fixed it too!

 The culprit

My point of this being, my husbands the hardest working, driven, resourceful, optimistic guy I know. I felt like i spent the whole day telling Liam what a good dad he has and explaining to him what dad was doing and that he was doing it for us. I hope and pray Liam gets all that dad goodness, he's got a great hero to look up to.

As I drove to church today i hummed "I'm so glad when daddy comes home" because my kiddos in Primary were singing it in sacrament. I love that song so much. I love hearing it, singing it and thinking about how true it is. I'm so glad when i get to see my dad of course but nothing brings me more joy than seeing Liams eyes light up when Chad walks in from work. It's like nothing else matters more than giving him a great big kiss. I know how he feels.

Happy Fathers day
