Halloween 2016

It's tradition! We love putting our babies in hallowed out gourds. Strange, I know, but its adorable!

Sorry all the pics are so blurry, I don't know how to use my camera. ugh.

Why is it so funny when they eat it?! Man, I hope i never run out of babies to put in pumpkins.
This year, coustum ideas were easy! Liam's really into robots so that was what I started working on until I realized it's be hard to make a matching theme with that....Daniel tigers neighborhood was our second choice and it was a hit!  Liam was SO excited to be Daniel and I let him pick who Matic would be, Baby Tiger, Prince Wednesday or O the Owl. He picked the owl, thankfully, it's the cutest option.
We LOVE making our costumes, it's become a fun creative challenge for Chad and I (mainly me) for the past three years and I hope we never stop. Liams actual tiger suit, we found on a garage sale website for $2.50,  I bought a Daniel Tiger Trolley badge off their website for 3 dollars and we found a red jacket at Once Upon a Child for 5 bucks. We used on of Chads only leather watch and Liams costume was finish in  just over $10. Matixs took a little more time but was so fun to make! I already had a white onesie and a matching white beanie and felt glue from when I made thier quiet books, so I bought about 8 bucks worth of felt, feathers and googly eyes and spent a whole day, cutting out and organizing feather, then another day pretending like I knew how to use a sewing machine and attaching some feathers to the onesie. We found these adorable blue moccasins at DI for a buck and I had some left over mustard yellow felt from my quiet books so I made him little webbed feet too.
The crafting was so fun and you can't beat all that adorableness for just under $20!

We ate some delicious fall soup at mom and dads and went trick or treating in Danicas and Brennons old neighborhood. Liam was pretty fearless but that didn't mean he didn't have his guard up all night in case something jumped out at him (which happened a few times...mainly Chad trying to scar him for life)
Dani's neighborhood DOES NOT mess around. every house was completely decked out! there was even a fully inflatable haunted house that, with a lot of coaxing, Liam went through with dad.
He was proud of himself to say the least.

Him and Millie really took care of eachother and held hands more and more as the sun went down.

Towards the end of the night we met up with some of Dani and Brennons friends who were doing a block party. We got the boys out of the car and put Liams candy bucket on the hood of the car and totally forgot to take it with us down the street to the party. We ate yummy food, the kids watched a not-so-spooky Halloween movie that was projected on the garage door and by the time we got back to the car an hour later, almost all of Liams full bucket of candy was gone, he was left with about 15 pieces (more than enough for a 2 year old) we hesitated, but we handed him the bucket to see if he had noticed the drastic change in candy level...he didn't have a clue...everybody wins!

We had a great Halloween and I'm so excited for all the scary stuff to leave the stores, replaced with Christmas decorations.
