Valentines Day came early and unexpectedly for Chad and I through an invitation from our wards young woman to be a guest couple for their Sweethearts Q&A night. A week before Valentines day, we were asked to come to a mutual where we would be asked whatever questions the girls had about dating, engagements, marriage, love etc. and share our story. It was, surprisingly the most romantic night we'd had in a while. We shared our favorite dates, our feelings about being engaged, what timing in relationships and spiritual progression meant to us, if we were soul mates, the best gifts we've given and received, how we've surprised each other and what we've sacrificed. I was surprised by a few answers and almost all the questions lead to laughter or tears of joy and nostalgia.
the sweet young woman treated us like a fairy tale royal couple and responded to each answer with "awes" and sweet sighs. It reminded me just how much of a fairytale I really have going for me. Sometimes when we are so focused on progressing and and bettering our homes and families that we forget how much we have and how blessed the journey is and truly, how magical my marriage is. I have a truly heroic husband that gives and gives and never stops thinking of how to provide more for me and my boys. I'm crazy about Chad, he makes me laugh, he trusts me, he honors me, he's truly a perfect match for me. He has everything I wish I was and accentuates my strengths. He makes the mundane memorable and reminds me of all the good when I lack perspective. SO much I could say about my sweet Chad but he's not my only Valentine, so we'll move on to this cutie ....
Matix is fuzzy, round and squishy, like a English bulldog pup. He is extremely ticklish and his raspy little voice makes my heart melt. He's so snuggly and has recently started waking up around mine and Chads bedtime, just to say goodnight, have a quick snack and snuggle back to bed...we love it. He smiles at everyone and is very forgiving of his rough and overly excited brother. He loves kisses and we love kissing him!
And my little Liam Love!
Liam was so excited to deliver valentines, he loves delivering anything but he picked out the boy and girl treats to attach to his picture, and he really wanted to make his friends feel special. He kept saying, "they gunna love dis!".
Also we recently discovered that we could have been drawing with our chalk on the concrete fence all this time and have spent most of February in our front yard drawing indiscernible murals on our property dividing fence. I made him stand by my hearts for the picture but his were much cuter, even though they looked more like pink potatos.
Oh my methodical little lover.
I love the way his mind works, mainly because its such a mystery to me, it makes me see things from a whole new perspective and it's teaching me to love people in a way they understand. I love you Liam. So much, I cant stand it!Liam and Chad have recently become obsessed with the Disney short film "Lava" about two Volcanos who want to find love and live off each other "lava" until they are joined together in the end to "lava" each other. they watch it over and over together and sing, I lava you! At the top of their lungs. I have the most adorable men in my life.
cutest post ever! I'm looking up that short film today. Is it on Netflix? You have some super cute boys and a great husband! And how fun to be the guest couple. I love that kind of stuff. Um, come see me! The weather up here is lovely!!!
