One of "those" fans

I'm "one of those fans" when it comes to my Mindy Gledhill. I have purchased all her CDs a week before they come out, I've listed to all her stuff, I even attended a song writing conference in Salt lake on the premise that she would be one of the mentors. She's just amazing. So when Chad surprised me with tickets to see her a few hours before the concert... I was ecstatic! Big thanks to Trent Thompson who covered the office for us for the last hour so we could get there in time to see her before the concert.
Which we did...but I was too star struck to say anything. We got our seats and I started taking pics of everything and documenting the evening! SO EXCITED
Look at the beautiful stage! It felt like a fairy tale which, coincidentally is how I feel everytime i listen to her music! It was perfect!

She wore this darling dress, I leaned over to Chad and asked if he thought they sold the same dress for maternity sizes...he lovingly said "hmmmm, maybe hunnie!" What a sweetie. A tiny little Mindy struggle to keep her fluff under her dress up, she's so tiny, you'd never know she had kids and was more than 20 years old. SO full of youth, you can hear the youth in her songs, in her voice and you can see it in the way she preforms.

I was hypnotized the whole time! All her new songs are amazing and of course, she played a few from her last album, Anchor. All my favorites! The only down side to the whole show was the audience. BYU-I is great, but they don't know how to enjoy a concert and get preformers to come back. There was hardly any cheering and excitement, i might be a little off base but Mindy Gledhill flew all night to get there, preformed at different venues all day and I know that performers often need an audience to help fuel them through a show and our crowd was less then exciting. Now that I think about it, maybe I was just felt a little out of place with my extreme excitement, surrounded by only mildly excited people. #truefanprobs
Chad and I got to meet her after the show and she was exhausted! Yawning and begging for a Dr. Pepper, She was so embarrassed that we heard her ask for a DP but we assured her, she was in good company :).
I walked up to her like a fool, smiling ear to ear, with a very small part of me wanting to say "Hi, Mindy Glehill, I love you, seriously though, I have all your music, I worked with you one weekend in Utah and I just love you...do you remember me?"
BUT a much bigger part of me realized, no, she doesn't remember you, she sees millions of fans every year and you're just a starry-eyed and crazy as the rest of them.
.... i think maybe if I still had blonde hair she would have.....nah

Chadders INSISTED I buy her new CD (lucky me) and she signed it for me. I was officially in heaven.
I cannot wait to listen to her new songs and relax to her beautiful soft voice. Just love it!

HUGE thanks to Chad, that sweet guy enjoyed the concert with me, stood in line with me, dressed up for me and let me talk his ear off with excitement through the whole concert! I'm a lucky girl :) thanks baby!
