Week 34:Turkey Time

Week 34 was quick but wonderful. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays (right next to Christmas and the 4th of July) and I'm so glad I got to spend it with such great company. Gail Ray and Madi were able to come up to Rexburg and be with us for 5 whole days and we had such a good time.
Thanksgiving went off without a hitch, thanks to the strategic planning of Sam and I! (go us!) We had a beautiful meal and snuggled little Baby Brigham all night long (you can't get better than that). Gail brought dessert... and lots of it! We all passed out a little early that night with our food comas.
Friday we did some more hanging out and we had a fun little picnic. It was too cold for the AZ folks so we built a fire and had sandwiches and pie (because Gail seriously bought something like 8 pies!). The boys went shooting and the girls wen home to hang out. We went through all of Liams shower gifts again that Ray brought with him from Utah. It was so much fun... for me at least. I got excited all over again and finally got to start decorating the nursery (aka my second bedroom for the next 6 months). After they got back we had ourselves a little date night at Fat Cats. Grandma and grandpa stayed home to watch the little ones while we went to see Thor!
Saturday was exeptionally crazy. We had a lot of work to do but we got it all done by noon so we could party the rest of the day. The "grandma" in gail really shone through as she spent the whole evening shopping for grandkids and finding the perfect gifts for all her new spoil victims! It was so fun to watch. Chad and I were able to get some baby items off our list at Target thanks to some generous gift cards and we watched in amazement at the tornado that is "Gail" as she hit each store and dominated her shopping list with her fearless co-spoiler, Ray.
Ray, you are a saint. That's all I have to say.
They were quite the team. Gail with her non-stop spoiling and Ray with his smiling and nodding at each purchase. :) They're unstoppable!

We got home, got ourselves some hot chocolate and homemade oreos and fell asleep to Superman!
Sunday was beautiful as always, Fast and testimony meeting as wonderful.we got together and ate snacks and leftovers from Thanksgiving for lunch. It was a family day. We played cards, watched youtube videos, snuggles the babies and skyped with Ryan, Kim and Sam! It was so good to see them but I was way bummed that I wasn't able to show them our amazing crib! We sure missed them this Thanksgiving, it made me think of our last thanksgiving at Sam and Prestons in the trailer. Good times :)

Gail made her famous Chicken Noodle soup...it was to die for! I think I could have finished the whole pot if I didn't have a massive baby sitting in me taking up all the room!

The whole weekend was a lot of eating, baby-snuggling, laughing, teasing, eating, tooting (a merrell tradition apparently and EATING! Lets just say I'm not excited for the walk of shame I'll be taking as I make my way the the scale at my doctors appointment tomorrow, that's not the baby, that's FOOD!

It was all worth it, we had such a great time and although we won't be with Family for Christmas, we got so have some holiday family time that really got me excited for the rest of the holiday season!

I LOVE my in-laws. We are a crazy bunch of people, we're definitely not perfect but we definitely love eachother and the more we're together, the more excited we get about the NEXT time we get to be together. I miss them already and I'm Sad Sam and preston will be gone for Christmas but Thanksgiving was beautiful and HUGE thanks to them for letting us invade thier house so much!

We had some fun up on campus on Saturday, we were hoping the game would be playing but we found other means of enjoyment :)
Grandma Gail and Baby Brigham! I just love this!
The whole gang...except Ray! We need a photographer to just follow Gail around so we never have to miss someone in a picture!
There he is! The happy couple and their grandbaby!
I loved how fascinated Aaron was with himself. He loves technology! And who can blame him for wanting to watch videos of himself, look how cute he is?!
Such a tender picture of Grandpa Ray and Baby Brigham. He's going to be an amazing grandpa! (like he already is)
 BYU-I Stud muffin!
Me and Aaron are friends again :) watch out Chad, I'm moving up in the ranks!
